Computer Science
The Computer Science Department offers a BS in Computer Science (BSCS) program that deals with the study of computing theories, algorithms, standards and practices in software engineering and new developments in computing.
It prepares students to design and create algorithmically complex software and develop new and effective solutions for solving computing problems. It also prepares students to acquire skills and discipline required for designing, writing and modifying software components and applications that comprise software solutions.
Data Structures & Algorithms
This foundational course develops students’ analytical and problem-solving skills through the study of abstract data types, algorithms, and computational efficiency. It serves as a core subject for advanced programming and software engineering.
Python Programming
This course provides a solid foundation in programming using Python — a versatile language widely used in software development, data science, and automation. Students learn core programming concepts such as variables, control structures, functions, and object-oriented programming.
JavaScript Programming
A comprehensive study of the programming language, JavaScript as a core web programming language. Students learn syntax, data handling, and event-driven programming to create interactive web applications and enhance user experience.
Web Development
This course introduces students — chammies to the fundamentals and the basics of building responsive and dynamic web applications. It covers both front-end and back-end technologies, emphasizing hands-on projects and modern development practices.
Our Instructors
The Computer Studies Cluster is guided by a team of dedicated educators and industry professionals who are passionate about technology, innovation, and Ignatian excellence.
Our instructors don’t just teach — they mentor Chammies to think critically, code creatively, and develop solutions that make a real-world impact. With years of experience in software development, research, and IT leadership, they ensure every learner gains the skills and mindset to thrive in the ever-evolving world of computing.
